Join the Auxiliary

The Georgetown Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary is a branch of the department that provides non-firefighting support to the department. This includes fundraising, social functions, and rehab at major incidents.

This group, organized by Marian Sundlof in September, 1972, raises funds to help purchase supplies and maintain equipment for Georgetown's firefighters and EMS. They also respond to major fire calls to help take care of the departments firefighters.

Firefighters can easily become dehydrated while battling a blaze and it's the Auxiliary's jobs to setup rehab clinics at major fire incidents to give our Firefighters a place to rehydrate, rest, and recharge between attacks.

The Auxiliary, which meets quarterly, currently has 10 members. Sara Baker is current President, Meghan Ely as Secretary, and Lauren Dzwil as Treasurer.

Membership is open to anyone over the age of 18.
