The Georgetown Volunteer Fire Company (GVFC) was organized in May of 1928 by a group of citizens who realized the need for fire protection in the community. Today, the men and women of GVFC are just as dedicated to the preservation of life and property as those who started this organization.
GVFC continues to meet the needs of our growing community by providing fire protection and emergency medical services to portions of Redding, Wilton, and Weston. In 2024, GVFC responded to 1,046 calls for service.
